Houghton Bloodstock had great success over the years producing two Group One winners. Mayson, by Invincible Spirit - Mayleaf, winner of the Darley July Cup at Newmarket's July Course, together with Belle Royale, by Val Royale (FR) - Kahyasi Moll (IRE), winner of the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes at Hollywood Park. Both horses were raised by the expert staff at Fox Farm.

Houghton Bloodstock Produce 2023 Breeders Juvenile Sprint Cup Winner BIG EVS
Big Evs did connections proud as he swept to success in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint at Santa Anita. Mick Appleby’s colt broke well and ran prominently throughout, trailing Crimson Advocate around the bend having started as the favourite under Tom Marquand. From there the duo pulled away to seal victory for the British in the first Grade One event of the meeting. Beaten on his debut at Redcar in May, the son of Blue Point got off the mark in the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot before adding the Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood and the Flying Childers at Doncaster. A truly great performance from this hugely impressive,tough and exceptional 2yo, many many congratulations goes to all the connections of Big Evs.
More Group and Black Type Winners for Houghton Bloodstock Produced Horses
Following on from our success at Goodwood, horses produced by Houghton Bloodstock have picked up another two Black Type winner at Haydock and the St Leger meeting at Doncaster. The Roger Varian trained and Ben Curtis ridden Al Musmak fairly bolted up in the Listed Betfair Daily Tips on betting betfair Ascendant Stakes beating four previous winners. Big Evs produced another tremendous performance to win another Group Race, this time the Carlsberg Danish Pilsner Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster. Having a rare day off in his last race at York, Big Evs stormed back to form with an all the way victory and this Blue Point colt looks far from finished with exciting times ahead for owners RP Racing Ltd.

Our facilities include Claydon horse-walker, horsebox, lunging ring, foaling unit and vet stocks. We have sit-up rooms for staff together with CCTV. Houghton Bloodstock specialise in walking-in mares to Newmarket stallions, permanent borders and top class sales preparation.
Our Services
Over the last few years Houghton Bloodstock has grown to be a well known and successful operation. In 2012 we produced two Group One winners who were raised at Fox Farm. We specialise in producing bloodstock for sales preparation on behalf of other breeders and owners who would like to sell at all the biggest sales, and our boarding facilities are offered for mares kept at the Stud permanently or seasonally.
